Cheat For Revenge On A Cheater
In the SHM Community Forum, Joanne responded to one member who had an unhealthy desire for revenge on his wife and at the same time, would really like to know why she doesn't love him anymore. She says:
Ok, Mr. revenge-above-everything-else, let's say your plan works beautifully and she sees you with someone else. Then what? Do you think the pain in her eyes will someday just vanish? Will she come running back to you? Will you then have her undying allegiance?
Think it through a bit more.
Seems to me your plan is more than likely going to backfire and you will have a lot more of the blaming-you-kind-of-herapy to endure if you cheat on her.
Why not learn what the real problem is between the two of you (I suspect emotional immaturity on both sides – but that can be fixed if you really love her). so cut to the chase, demand another year of therapy with a therapist of your choice (screen them like Jimmy suggests in his posts in the posychotherapy forum) and make sure you get this woman to be honest and vulnerable and committed to you.
Hurting her back is a childish and ineffective of getting what you really seem to want.

Revenge is never a good idea. No good can come of it at all. Unfortunetely it is one of the first stages of the pain your feeling and normal to feel that. But it is not right to act on it and it will pass in time. It wont make you feel any better the day after. I have been thru similar and it never helps, just makes things worse I think.
