Sex Drive: Hormonal Issue for Women

In the community forums, Joanne agreed to one member who believes that sex drive can be a hormonal issue. She added:
Go with her to see a FEMALE hormone doc who works with alternative and holistic medicine. Your average male gyno is thick as a brick when it comes to hormones. If she is within normal range on their blood tests, they prescribe the usual fare, which is so off the mark it is pitiful. Men generally are not as sophisticated about women's issues as women. It's just that simple.
My biases are going to show here, but I believe them 100%: I might study xxx in college, but that study is never going to be as deep, relevant or personal as if it were my symptom I've researched to solve for decades because I am suffering from some condition. Conclusion: those female docs who have suffered through menopause are much more likely to have the right answers for your wife than any male doc, young or old.
If she is taking meds for anything else, sit with her and look them up one by one online. see if any reduce sex drive. It can be an incredible eye opener. She might be getting medicated out of it. If not, menopause will do it all by itself.
The right hormone mix can make a horn dog out of a dead hound. I am serious.
