Hi there, my name is Judy Berman, I'm a stay-at-home mom with 3 beautiful kids, Bobby, C.J., and Suzie, 3 dogs and 3 cats. In August of 1997 I dove into HTML and started Katsation for my parents Bob & Sue Dahlstrom, as a tribute to their Cattery, all pages are written with Microsoft Notepad. Once their friends saw the pages they wanted their own so I started writing for them.

I joined the team here at SelfhelpMagazine in February of 1998. I enjoy my work here and I'm proud to have earned the titles Sr. System Administrator, and Sr. Webmaster.

My duties include:

• Monitoring server & system health.
• Monitoring mail
• Creating and downloading system backup files.
• Receiving, assigning, and tracking new Articles and Q&A's
• Monitoring discussion board
• Updating CGI scripts on the Discussion Boards, Slide-Shows, CGI-E-Mail, and password protected directories.
• Downsizing images and removing old directories
  (this has saved over 4 MB of space on the server so far)
• Finding and fixing links which are no longer working, and re-coding pages to conform to the standards of SelfhelpMagazine.

All the pages I build are validated at HTML 4.0 Transitional, and with "Bobby", which checks for browser compatibility. At Katsation I have tried to keep the image size down to 20k or less, making the pages fast loading for most any modem. The graphics featured there are of my own creation (unless otherwise noted). We have been joined by 7 other Catteries, Dacotah, LeChatPaws, Playwickey, Karabel, Persian House, Rejouissance and Purrsuits. Also by Feline WWW, Pet Tribune, Exotic World Directory and Puppy Station. Feel free to drop by and pick up our Jukebox, to take with you while you surf.
